Summertime Bass Fishing Sand Hollow – Aussie Style!

Summer Time Bass Fishing Sand Hollow

Summertime bass fishing Sand Hollow is awesome. I had one of my best friends, Tony Morganti, and his son, Kaleb, visit from Australia. They were able to meet me in St. George for a couple days, and we were able to slip out to Sand Hollow for some fishing. We went out early in the morning on two different days, and we released the “Kraken” on some bass! Here is what we did to land us a few toads on those hot summer days out at Sand Hollow.

Summertime Bass Fishing Sand Hollow Conditions

Summertime bass fishing Sand Hollow rocks some seriously warm temperatures! I think it got up to 100+ degrees over the two days we went out and caught bass. The water temperature was in the high 70’s. Smack in the middle of July, it was one of those picture-perfect, clear, hot summer days on the water at Sand Hollow.

We only fished in the early morning when the outside temperature was bearable. We were on the water at 6:00am when the park opened and off the lake at 10:00am when we could feel the sweat beading up on our foreheads. I’m glad we got there early because the water was calm, and it wasn’t chopped up from all the recreational boaters.

For even more details on how to fish Sand Hollow in the summer check out my Sand Hollow Bass Fishing Guide eBook. Please feel free to email or ask me any questions about summertime bass fishing out at Sand Hollow Reservoir. I felt really blessed to be able to take some of my best friends from Australia out “Kraken” with me. They had never fished for Largemouth Bass in their lives, but we were able to get them out and catching bass. Special thanks to my father, Chuck, for letting us use his bass boat, and doing some pre-fishing to help get those Australians “Kraken” bass!

The links above and below in this post are affiliate links were you can pick up baits, rod’s, reels, line, and anything else used to “Krak” some bass fishing in the summer at Sand Hollow. Krakenbass receives a small percentage of the sales through these links. I only use links to baits, and gear I personally trust and know work. These links are provided to primarily be helpful for you, and not for the small amount I make for the sale of the products. Hopefully, these products can help you “krak” some bass like they have for me! Thank you for your support.

  1. Pretty awesome, JB. I have never even been to Sand Hollow but now I’ve gotta get ‘Kraken’ with ya sometime. Love the website. You’ve got the bass business down to a science.
